Asphalt Paving

Asphalt Paving

To construct a new or rebuild an old lot

When you want to:

  • Construct a new parking lot for any commercial or industrial space such as new retail space, restaurant, etc.
  • Extend the life of your current parking lot
  • Repair widespread parking lot failure

What is it? This includes the installation of new asphalt for parking lots, roads, driveways, etc. Also includes asphalt overlays, parking lot resurfacing and parking lot reconstruction.

Uses: New construction as well as larger-scale paving projects

How it Works: It depends on the paving service needed. For existing asphalt structures, and asphalt overlay may be a cost effective way to extend the life of the parking lot.  For parking lots that have widespread failure, it may be time to reconstruct.  This may involve removing all the asphalt and installing new asphalt.  Depending on the circumstances, other options may be viable such as pulverization, cement stabilization and more – all of which we perform in house.

Timeline: The average parking lot can be paved in 1 day, and can be driven on that day if needed.  However, it is best to let it sit for at least a day to cure.

Asphalt Patching and Repair

Asphalt Patching and Repair

To fix potholes and other structural damage

When you want to:

  • Fix potholes, cracks, and other structural damage
  • Repair individual sections of a parking lot or other pavement structure

What is it? This is the process of repairing damaged sections of asphalt within a parking lot, roadway, greenway, etc.

Uses: Areas that have developed potholes, exhibit spider web-type cracks, or suffer other structural damage. High-traffic areas are more prone to damage, such as drive lanes within a parking lot, and heavy vehicles (such as dumpster trucks) can worsen the damage.

How it Works: Asphalt repair typically involves cutting out the compromised section of pavement and replacing with new asphalt at an equal or greater depth than what originally existed. The greater the depth of the repair, the more life you can expect out of it.

Timeline: Asphalt repairs can typically be performed very quickly.  Most projects are done within a day, and the new areas able to be driven on once we are complete.

Seal Coating

Seal Coating

To give your parking lot a facelift

When you want to:

  • Enhance the look of your pavement
  • Protect your asphalt against sun damage

What is it? One of the most cost-efficient ways to protect your asphalt investment, seal coating helps thwart asphalt damage from the sun and the elements. It also improves the look of the asphalt, giving it a nice black color and allowing parking lines to stand out well.

Uses: Aged parking lots in need of a face-lift and high-traffic areas subject to regular wear and tear

How it Works: Sealing is a lot like staining a deck.  It a liquid applied to the surface that improves the look of your lot and helps lock in the oils present in asphalt. It’s not going to fix the cracks that already exist, but it will help protect the asphalt and make it look better.

Timeline:  The average parking lot can be sealed and striped in one day and opened back up to traffic when we are done.

Concrete Work

Concrete Work

For exterior surfaces

When you want to:

  • Repair cracked or otherwise damaged portions of concrete
  • Build new exterior surfaces like sidewalks, curbs and gutters
  • Lay a solid foundation for a heavy dumpsters and other commercial or industrial applications.

What is it? This involves concrete repair and new construction services for exterior applications including sidewalks, curbs and gutters, driveways and dumpster pads.

Uses: Concrete repairs are often needed in the event the existing concrete has failed and/or heaved out of place.

How it Works: Typically, the damaged section of concrete/curb is cut out and replaced with new concrete with a mix meeting the needs of the location.

Timeline:  Most concrete repairs/installations can be handled within one day, and can be driven/walked on with a few days to allow some time for curing.
